Margaret ARMSTRONG
After completing a Master’s degree in mathematical statistics at the University of Queensland in Australia, Margaret moved to France to do a doctorate in geostatistics, i.e. stochastic modelling in the earth sciences. She spent more than twenty years at the Centre for Geostatistics of the Paris School of Mines before joining the Cerna (another research center at the Paris School of Mine) to form the Quantitative Finance group in October 2001.
Margaret Armstrong is a reference author in geostatistics.
Jean-Paul CHILES
After spending 22 years as senior research scientist with the Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières (the French Geological Survey) in Orléans (France), Jean-Paul Chilès joined the Centre for Geostatistics of the Paris School of Mines in 2002 to become its director.
He is coauthor with Pierre Delfiner of "Geostatistics - Modeling Spatial Uncertainty", Wiley, 1999.
Pascal IRIS
Pascal Iris represents TRANSVALOR S.A., whose CEO he is. Pascal Iris is also director of ARMINES, a contract research association, partner of french Engineering Schools.
TRANSVALOR is a private limited company, subsidiary of ARMINES. TRANSVALOR develops and distributes simulation software packages for 2D and 3D bulk metal forming processes (the most famous is FORGE). Their products, among the leaders in the international market of 3D software packages, are installed worlwide, mainly in Europe, USA, Asia and Japan.
Frédéric MALINET
Frédéric Malinet represents LIM Investment. He is also CEO of LIM S.A..
LIM S.A. is a private limited company which develops and distributes electronical measurement equipment and related software packages for drilling and grouting instrumentation. The main sectors of activities of LIM S.A. are mines and quarries, special foundations, underground works and geotechnics.
