Geovariances to present a paper "Quantifying the transferability of hydraulic parameters using geostatistics: the Boom Clay case"
Geovariances, together with the Belgian Agency for Radioactive Waste and Enriched Fissile Materials ONDRAF/NIRAS, will present a paper:
the Boom Clay case
Monday 29th March 15.20 PM – 15.40 PM
N. Jeannée (Geovariances), A. Berckmans (ONDRAF/NIRAS), L. Wouters (ONDRAF/NIRAS), J. Deraisme (Geovariances), J.-P. Chilès (Mines ParisTech, Centre de Géostatistique)
This paper shows how combining core measurements with more densely acquired geophysical information allows quantifying the spatial variability of the Boom clays and brings promising answers to their characterization in term of hydrogeological parameters.
4th International Meeting on "Clays in Natural & Engineered Barriers for Radioactive Waste Confinement".
Nantes, France
The purpose of this fourth international meeting is to bring specialists in the different disciplines related to clays and clay minerals, together with scientists from organizations involved in disposal of radioactive waste, in order to evaluate the progress of research conducted in that field.
