Note that this course is also available in Spanish.
Objective
With this course, you will learn how to apply some of the most advanced and newly implemented geostatistical capabilities of Isatis. They include the latest developments from M2RC, a research consortium on multivariate non-linear geostatistical techniques sponsored by the mining industry between 2006 and 2009.
Strong focus is made on the appropriate workflow and on the practical choice of parameters.
Key features
The course offers an optimum blend of theoretical grounding and practical exercises on real mining data using Isatis software.
Who should attend
The course is aimed at geologists and engineers who want to consolidate their know-how in Isatis for implementation of advanced geostatistical applications.
Course content
- Expert tools for data analysis: border effects and contact analysis;
- Different options of Gaussian Anamorphosis modelling: standard with dispersion assigned to the data, zero effect, indicator;
- Gibbs Sampler for zero effect processing;
- Global recoverable resources calculations (multivariate case);
- Local recoverable resources with Uniform Conditioning (multivariate case);
- Multivariate Localized Uniform Conditioning;
- Workflow for Direct Block Simulation;
- Use of local parameters (LGS) for kriging and simulations.
Prerequisites
A solid knowledge of linear geostatistics is a must; a fair command of Isatis capabilities will be advantageous.
This course may be scheduled for another date and/or location. Tailored courses may also be organized on client demand. Please contact your sales representative to request more information.
