With the development of the Direct Block Simulation module in Isatis, running large simulation projects to properly characterize spatial variability is now within reach. QG have run a number of projects recently on large, world-class orebodies using Direct Block Simulation. The algorithm, developed by Geovariances as part of the M2RC consortium, means that point scale models can be bypassed and block scale models can be built directly. This saves considerable time and disk space enabling users to spend more time validating and analyzing the results.”
