Quantitative Geosciences (JPEG)
- Quantitative Geosciences

Quantitative Geoscience Pty Ltd (QG) provide specialised geostatistical, geological and resource estimation consulting services to the mining and resource sectors.

"ISATIS has been QG favorite geostatistical package since their opening as the only commercial software offering easy access to most of the geostatistical techniques, from the classical ones to the more advanced methods. QG consultants familiarity with ISATIS allows them to get the most of the software offering their clients the cutting-edge of technology."

SRK (GIF)
- SRK Consulting - Mining Geologists, Geostatisticians
and Engineers

SRK Consulting is an international consulting practice. SRK provides focused advice and solutions to clients, mainly from earth and water resource industries. For mining project’s, SRK offers services from exploration through feasibility, mine planning, and production to mine closure.

"SRK have been using ISATIS practically since it was first released. Geostatistics is an essential component of SRK services to the mining industry from exploration to exploitation and ISATIS is the only commercial software offering easy access to most of the geostatistical techniques, from the classical ones like ordinary kriging to the more advanced methods (conditional simulations for risk evaluation or optimisation, non linear or multivariate estimations, etc.)

In addition, ISATIS advanced data manipulation and visualisation tools are a must for checking both original data and the results. All SRK Consulting Resource Professionals are expert geostatisticians with many years of practical experience in the mining industry, capable of making the most of what ISATIS offers. SRK are distributors for the software in Australia and provide local training and technical support."

AirNormand (JPEG)
- Air Normand

One of the missions of the French Observatory for Air Quality is to inform the public of the quality of the air everyone breathes, as well as to estimate the air pollution on the whole area.

Getting accurate and reliable maps is then essential. Geostatistics, with its wide panel of methodologies, has become indispensable.

ATMO French index maps are released every day on the Air Normand website (see Forecasts). These maps are automatically updated using ISATIS in batch mode.

AirParif (GIF)
- AirParif - When ISATIS helps in Air Quality Monitoring

In accordance with the french law (1996) and european norms on air quality, one of the missions to be carried out by Airparif, the association in charge of monitoring air quality throughout the Paris region, is to inform the authorities and general public.

To ensure this objective on a day-to-day basis, Airparif has chosen to make pollutant maps available on its web site.

These accurate and realistic maps are generated using "geostatistical algorithms" which allow to take into account not only the pollutants measurements but also all the relevant auxiliary information like meteorological data, traffic density, industrial emissions. All calculations are performed running ISATIS in both interactive and batch modes. Batch mode is run intensively everyday to produce pollutants maps in real-time.

Syrso (JPEG)
- Atmo Poitou-Charentes - Syrso

In 2000, Atmo Poitou-Charentes integrated ISATIS in his workflow to build urban pollution maps at city scale.
SYRSO - a Regional System for the Photochemical Pollution Monitoring - is aimed to enhance the numerical predictions of the national model PREV’AIR. This system is currently developped by the Air Quality Monitoring Associations located in Aquitaine, Poitou-Charentes, Limousin and Auvergne regions.

In 2004, Atmo Poitou-Charentes has worked on the implementation, in Syrso, of a module allowing local statistical adaptation in real time. This module - based on ISATIS and its batch capabilites - introduces data assimilation techniques into numerical predictions. The objective is to provide public and local authorities with a regionalized map of ozone concentrations coherent with data measurements.

Impact (JPEG)
- Impact - Estimation of Human Impact in the Presence of Natural
Fluctuations

The general objective of the project is to develop, test and disseminate generic decision support tools that can:
- match technological advances in environmental monitoring,
- facilitate estimation of environmental impact in the presence of natural fluctuations in the state of the environment, and
- bridge the gap between statistical data analysis and mechanistic modelling.
