What’s new in Isatis 7.0?
With Isatis V7.0, you shouldn’t.

Optimized performances for Isatis V7.0
- 64-bit application
Isatis V7.0 is designed to work on 32 or 64-bit computers (on Unix, Linux or Windows platform). It now easily handles huge datasets, being able to allocate bigger amount of memory for computations.
- Multi-threading implementation
With the multi-threading implementation in the kriging and simulation algorithms, Isatis V7.0 benefits from all the available capacities of your machine. The computation performances are drastically improved. While you were used to wait for your simulation outcomes for more than a whole day, the multi-threading capacity of Isatis now allows you to get your results in one to few hours (depending on the number of threads available on your machine).
- Management of the memory allocation
Isatis can now manage the memory assigned to its process. You may choose between sharing the physical memory of your machine with other processes or assigning the maximum of memory to process larger datasets with Isatis.
- Improvement of the SGS algorithm
In this very scope, the Sequential Gaussian Simulations has been improved to get better computing time on large grids.

- Autocad (DXF) Import
For even more flexibility in data exchange, Isatis V7.0 offers an additional interface allowing to read and import AutoCad DXF format files as wireframes (i.e. triangularized surfaces or volumes).
These wireframes are new objects of Isatis (equivalent to the Polygon files). To start with, they will be used to improve 3D visualization by superimposing DXF objects to Isatis classic objects (i.e. mining infrastructure over a block model). In the end, the aim is to use these wireframes for masking samples or domaining (through selection variable).
Isatis V7.0, all-in-one
Multiplying software packages is costly in time and money. This is why one of our main concerns is to provide you with even more facilities:
- Multiple-point Conditional Simulations
This technique is used to simulate a facies through the simulation of a pattern. It consists in reproducing the relationships between facies, as measured from a training image.
- Global Trend Modeling
This new panel is used for computing the global trend and the residuals at data point locations.

This panel can also be used as an initial step to:
- Residual Kriging
- Universal Kriging. The Variogram Fitting panel has been modified for this purpose.
- Minimum-Maximum Autocorrelation Factors
This application completes the Principal Component Analysis which is already available in Isatis. It is helpful to synthesize large multivariate datasets by extracting orthogonal factors (i.e. independant) that are ranked in order of increasing spatial correlation.
Even more outputs for efficient quality control
- Display of the neighborhood in the 3D-Viewer
The Test Window is now dynamically linked to the 3D Viewer. Once the panels are linked, the contents of the 3D Viewer is synchronized with the target cell & selected neighbors.
This allows you to carefully check and validate your neighborhood parameters in kriging or simulations procedures.
- New output variables in kriging
You may now store the weight of the mean (without running simple kriging) as well as the drift coefficients.
Kriging weights are collected each time a sample is used, then normalized and can be stored in the input data file. Weights can be used for declustering.
... still improving Isatis 3D Viewer
Several features have been added in the 3D Viewer:
- Display of 2D and 3D polygons / 2D and 3D faults / 3D wireframes

- Clipping plane management: quick buttons for X,Y or Z sections, fast scan with arrows, section spacing definition, anchor point definition, switch ON/OFF the manipulator.
- Automatic axes
