Isatis is relevant for geological modeling and hydrogeology

Having accurate and reliable models of subsurface properties, taking into account their spatial heterogeneity is essential in many areas: natural risk assessment, geotechnics, water resource estimation, flow simulations, optimization of acquisition networks, evaluation of the efficiency and safety of underground storage, etc. Isatis is the solution.

Client Story: Geovariances helps SJR build high quality surface maps

The St. Johns River Water Management District, located in northeast Florida USA, needed to create boundary surfaces of hydrostratigraphic units for input into groundwater models. They required Geovariances to help them build their mapping procedure. Local geostatistics and thickness-based kriging revealed to be the solutions to answer their issue.

White paper: Geological modeling and links with fluid flow simulations

Each time fluid movements in porous and permeable rocks must be modelled, it is of primary importance to build an accurate model of the geological facies distribution in the sub-surface. If the uncertainty on flow models must be quantified, then it is necessary to build several realistic 3D images of the geological facies distribution. Such images can be generated by using stochastic simulations methods.

"I have been using Isatis after the course which proved to be an excellent introduction to the software. During the course there was a lot of flexibility on the topics and we had enough time and opportunity to focus on areas of our particular interest." TNO
