"I really recommend this day of discovery of geostatistics as it gives a rather comprehensive introduction and practical operational applications to lot of domains of the E&P industry."

“Early December, we organized an internal training day with Geovariances on the subject of geostatistics. The objective was for the geoscience teams to get a general overview of the various possible applications of geostatistics in the E&P domain, from geophysical applications to reservoir modeling perspective. The training was conducted at Engie Paris site, with all our foreign offices taking part in the meeting via videoconference. All participants really appreciated this day. Many of them discovered new techniques. The instructor and expert in geostatistics Jean-Marc Chautru demonstrated the many advantages, but also the limitations, of these techniques through practical applications. Everyone will now aim to apply these techniques in their areas of expertise. Given the enthusiasm of this training, a new session is planned to be organized during 2018.

I really recommend this course, as it gives a rather comprehensive introduction and practical operational applications to lot of domains of the E&P industry. Geostatistical analyses is seen by Engie as a key tool to better handle and mitigate all the various uncertainties in our technical projects. As this technique is still not fully implemented in all E&P companies, this can make the difference for us to use it on a regular basis. Geovariances is really easily helping us opening this door thanks to these kind of courses.”
