The new capabilities of Isatis-Petrel interface introduced in 2014 meets our requirements

“At Petrobras, we have been using Isatis since its first release some twenty years ago. Today, a major use of the software is the modeling of reservoir facies through plurigaussian simulations. In that framework, being able to exchange data between Petrel and Isatis in a seamless and quick way is crucial for us.
The new capabilities of Isatis-Petrel interface introduced in 2014 meets our requirements and we are very satisfied with it. The direct link between both software is easy to implement, even when dealing with complex wells geometry (e.g. horizontal wells). Above all, we have been able to verify that the work done in Petrel to include highly deviated or horizontal wells in complex structural grids is preserved, ensuring a perfect data consistency between Petrel and Isatis. It is now possible to take benefit of the strength of each software without any loss in data transfer.”
