With the latest version 2022.12 of Isatis.neo, we focused on making the software even easier to use, enhancing the design of several tools, and offering a new batch explorer facilitating the management of script files. We have also drastically increased the SGS performance.
[All the new features are available in the three editions of Isatis.neo, Standard, Mining, and Petroleum.]
Improvement of batch functionalities
Batch Explorer
Efficiently manage your batch files with the new Batch Explorer. From this explorer, you can create, edit, record, run, copy, rename or delete batch files, organize them in folders and move them in the file tree.
Master batch file
To ease the creation and checking of batch files, you can split your workflow into several batch files of small size and group them in a master batch file for running the entire workflow.
Variable properties saving
You can now save the properties of variables in batch.
Kriging Neighborhood Analysis
To make KNA results consistent when running it interactively or in batch mode, you can now decide to perform the analysis on either the whole or a section of the file. This information will be kept when running KNA in batch.
You can also store graphical results when running KNA in batch through chart files.
More control tools
Neighborhood
Save any 3D neighborhood as a mesh ellipsoid that can easily be imported into third-party software. The neighborhood information about the size, sectoral division, and vertical split is stored with the ellipsoid geometry. This feature may help compare neighborhoods coming from different software products.
Besides, you can now define different capping distances for each space direction to better control the estimation.
Improvements in data management
Selection from polygons and meshes
For grid or sub-block files, get the cell proportion intercepted by a polygon. Decide what cell to select according to the cell proportion intersected by the polygon.
Store the data each polygon selects in a macro-selection. This new feature is also available for Selection from meshes.
Improvement of displays
Maps, 3D Viewer, Fence Viewer
Select several items or layers and display or remove them from the view with a mouse click.
Polylines
Attach an elevation property (constant or variable) to polylines. It allows correctly positioning the 2D polylines (that can be used for kriging with faults) in a 3D view.
Note that Kriging with faults now handles genuine 3D faults.
Performance improvement
Sequential Gaussian Simulations performance
SGS is up to 200 times faster in this version than version 2022.08 and twice faster than in Isatis.
Early-access menu
The Early Access menu gives you access to functionalities, the interfaces of which are not optimized. It offers advanced users the opportunity to test them and give their feedback to orientate the latest developments.
Projection Pursuit Multivariate Transform (PPMT)
Remove any multivariable dependencies with the Projection Pursuit Multivariate Transform (PPMT). PPMT may be helpful when you need to simulate a set of variables, and the co-simulations are impossible. Indeed, there can still be complex relationships between variables after a first gaussian transform, which can be a real issue when returning to the raw space. PPMT lets you simulate variables independently by transforming them into Gaussian ones, independent from each other. It makes your modeling far more straightforward and co-simulations unnecessary.
